The full Berlin jar
Germany
One drink: 6.0 g in 750 ml to 1 L of water.
Eight food-grade ingredients from Amazon.de. The bulk packages make more than one batch.
Homemade lemon electrolytes
A little jar of material abundance.
Eight food-grade ingredients. Bright lemon. Mixed once, ready whenever water needs a little more sun.

Why make it
Electrolyte tubs cost around fifty euros. I wanted the minerals and the ritual, but I also wanted to know what every ingredient was doing there.
I supplied the what and the why. Duncan researched the formula, sourced both regional versions, and did the arithmetic. We mixed the first jar in a Berlin kitchen. It tasted excellent.

Ingredient strength changes between suppliers, especially magnesium. Follow the formula for the country where you are buying it.

The full US jar
One drink: 6.0 g in 24 to 34 fl oz (700 ml to 1 L) of water.
The July 12 ingredient cart was $126.11 before tax. One batch uses about $18.39 of it, or 20¢ per serving.
The US magnesium amount follows the current label: 400 mg elemental magnesium per 2.5 g powder. Supplier formulas change, so recheck the label before remaking the jar.
One bowl. One jar.
The only precision tool you need is a digital kitchen scale that reads to at least 0.1 g.
Start with a large bowl, whisk, funnel, airtight jar, dry spoon, and a scale precise to 0.1 g. Keep every tool completely dry.
Set the bowl on the scale. Add the first ingredient, then press tare before adding the next one.
Continue through all eight ingredients. Do not estimate the magnesium, potassium, or stevia.
Whisk slowly for two full minutes, scraping the bottom and sides. Keep the powder low so you do not breathe the dust.
Let the dust settle. Funnel the blend into a dry airtight jar.
Close the jar and gently roll it for 30 seconds. Store it sealed and use only a dry spoon.
For one drink, stir 6.0 g of the German blend into 750 ml to 1 L of water, or 6.0 g of the US blend into 24 to 34 fl oz (700 ml to 1 L).
The US batch
That is ingredient use, not the first bulk order. The pantry lasts far beyond one batch.

Sun Salt is not a substitute for plain water, varied food, or medical care. Use it according to your fluid and sweat needs rather than treating more minerals as automatically better.
Kidney disease, heart failure, sodium-sensitive hypertension, or medicines that raise potassium require a clinician's guidance. If you take lithium, ask your prescriber before making meaningful changes to sodium or fluid intake. No medication belongs in the bulk jar.
